eProject Builder

This webinar will introduce energy retrofit program administrators, project owners and managers, and ESCOs on the use of eProject Builder (ePB) as an effective pathway for entering and reporting data from energy efficiency projects – including ESPC, UESC, ESA and more. All webinars cover the benefits of data collection, management and reporting, typical project workflow, a walk through of the data template, and a live demonstration of the online system.

This version of the data upload template provides automated amortization calculations for financed projects, for developing project financial scenarios.

ePX and ESPC Educational Webinars

Upcoming webinars are scheduled for the following dates and times:

  • The U.S. Department of Energy State and Community Programs (SCEP) office continues its educational webinar series focused on Energy Savings Performance Contracting (ESPC) in the non-federal sector with a webinar on April 29, 2025 at 10:00AM Pacific/1:00PM Eastern---"Modernizing State Facilities." Courtney Bonas of the California Department of General Services will share perspectives on what is required for project success. Attendees will also learn how eProject eXpress (ePX) makes it easy for State Energy Officials, Agency Directors, Legal and Finance authorities, facility personnel and their project ESCOs to manage project documents, track data, and report on project achievements.

ePX Data Template

The ePX data template provides no calculations. All information must be entered manually.

ePX color-coded template for ESPC Campaign

The color-coded ePX data upload template enables ESPC Campaign participants to enter and upload project data to the ePB database using an identified set of data fields for collection by the DOE ESPC Campaign. All information must be entered manually. Please only use the ESPC color-coded templates if you are an ESPC Campaign participant.


System Requirements

  • Firefox 63: Released on October 23, 2018
  • Chrome 70: Released on October 25, 2018
  • Edge 75: Although the exact release date is not explicitly stated, it is known that this version was part of the Chromium-based Microsoft Edge builds around the time of Windows 10 version 19H1 (1903), which was released in the first half of 2019
  • Opera 57: Released on November 28, 2018
  • Safari 12.1: Released on March 25, 2019

Users must also have installed Microsoft Excel 14.0 (2010/2011) or higher to be able to use the upload template functionality.
